Cushman & Wakefield has increased its South Florida property management division with 32 new managers who once worked for rival firm JLL, including a national director of property management.

Amarjit "Marj" Bains, a 20-year veteran, is joining Cushman as senior managing director and bringing her entire team of property managers at 701 Brickell and Waterford Business District with her, CoStar reported.

With the hiring, Cushman takes over property management of those two assets from JLL. 701 Brickell is a 33-story, 686K SF tower in Downtown Miami. Waterford Business District is a 1.65M SF development that stretches over several blocks and buildings overlooking Miami International Airport. Nuveen Real Estate owns the properties.

While at JLL, Bains served as national director and executive vice president. Additionally, she and her staff managed construction management affairs and budget logistics and created sustainability strategies.

Bains will work alongside Leigh Griffin, who spearheads Cushman’s Florida PM group of 300 employees who handle 85M SF.
